Yeah yeah, brodas I know you have been dealing a lot with your acne-prone skin but no more now because today's blog is all about 8 THINGS THAT CAUSES ACNE. These are the things you do without even knowing that they cause acne. Yeah, I'm not telling you that it's okay, it's natural to live with oily skin, NO, you need to understand this, your skin is not producing oil for no reason. There is a crisp reason and that is your skin wants to get moisturized all the time and for that purpose it secretes sebum. And in some people, this sebum secretion is huge (PEOPLE WITH OILY SKIN) which ultimately causes acne while in some people it is very low (PEOPLE WITH DRY SKIN) and in some, it is moderate or just accurate (PEOPLE WITH NORMAL SKIN).
So for all those people with oily skin needs to get this in their heads that you can shift your skin from oily to normal just by changing some lifestyle things that you're doing regularly. So if that makes fun to you lets get started, my boy.
NUMBER 1 - NOT DRINKING LOTS OF WATER
I know its basic thing to tell you brodas but this is necessary and this will be the foundation for all your further processes to remove acne. Yeah, you should get this inside your head more water consumption equals more hydration to your face and body and that is what you need as an individual with oily skin, right?
According to research, you should drink more than 3.7 liters ( around 15 cups ) of water daily. If you have oily skin this is a must to do. I don't know how will you do that but you have to, if you wouldn't do this then don't go further reading the whole blog it wouldn't work unless.
NUMBER 2 - TOUCHING YOUR FACE
It is an unusual activity which you all do without even noticing once that how much dirt you transfer from your hands to your face and that ultimately causes acne breakouts. Yes, this is important. You need to avoid touching your face constantly. If it is very necessary to touch your facial skin for whatever reason, first go and wash your hands and then do it. I know it may sound unusual to you that touching your face requires washing off your hands, then my boy you're right. From now onwards you have to do it.
NUMBER 3 - OVERWASHING YOUR FACE
See my brodas I know that you have efficient knowledge to use a high-quality face wash for your skin because that's what everyone has already told you. I'm not going to tell you this thing. Well, I've another top-notch tip that when you facewash your face more than thrice a day it is more likely to produce even more acne. You got this, did you? The science behind this is your skin gets dry when you wash your face. To balance out this thing, your skin produces more oil, and that's what causes more acne.
Ideally, you should use a facewash 2 times or 3 times (not more than that) and apply a gel-based moisturizer after it.
NUMBER 4 - NOT WASHING YOUR PILLOWS
Even if you wash your face correctly or drink water appropriately, if you don't wash your pillows, your face will get dirt automatically through your pillows. When you sleep your face is constantly in touch with your pillow so from now onwards you know it's your responsibility to wash off your pillows at least once a week.
NUMBER 5 - NOT USING MOISTURIZER
Just because you have an oily skin doesn't mean you don't need any moisturizer, did you get that brodas? Moisturizer is a must because after you wash your face, your skin becomes dry which means it is out of hydration. If you provide it moisturizer at that time regularly, after some weeks your skin will stop producing extra sebum or acne to provide hydration itself and it will really help in reducing your acne.
But the main thing over here is this, you specifically have to use a GEL BASED MOISTURIZER ( not the cream-based).
NUMBER 6 - OILY FOODS
Yes, these noodles, pizzas, pasta, oily food, and things like that create a huge impact in producing more acne and oil. And yes this is scientifically proven. These foods are neither good for your body nor your skin. But remember as we all know we like them eating a lot, right? So the thing here is this we need to reduce eating them because we can't completely switch them off from our lives.
Eat things that contain more nutrients, not oil. Eat fruits and green leafy vegetables, they are good for your skin as well as your health.
NUMBER 7 - NOT WASHING YOUR FACE AFTER WORKOUT
For all of my brodas who workout daily, do you wash your face after completing your workout session? If yes, good enough but if no start doing it, my boy. The reason behind this is after you workout, your body produces more testosterone, and high testosterone affects your sebum secretion and it produces more acne. On a simpler level just understand that workout causes sweating. And where there is sweating there is bacteria. More sweating means more bacterias which ultimately leads to more acne on your face. So wash your face with a good quality facewash after the workout.
NUMBER 8 - USING WRONG PRODUCTS
Using the wrong products is one of the main problems causing acne breakouts. Because the facewash your brother/ roommate is using might not be the best for you because he might have dry skin or normal skin or maybe sensitive skin but as per your case is concerned you need a good quality mild facewash (or maybe a charcoal facewash).
This also applies to moisturizers because people with dry skin require cream-based moisturizers and people with oily skin require gel-based moisturizer.
